All these people are holding themselves back from experiencing true happiness by holding on to these invisible chords or self-sabotaging believe patterns.
Now, the good news is that we can release all these old emotions, all fears and all limiting believe patterns. And why not make this a priority for 2012? Why not clear our own emotional and mental households? Why not start off fresh into the New Year?

Today I would like to blog about New Year. To be more precise, about the all so famous New Year’s resolutions we all set for ourselves as goals for the year to come. We want to be slimmer, stop smoking or join the gym just to mention a few of the most popular goals.
Giving thanks is a great way to cleanse and clear your emotional cobwebs away - and unblock years of repressed emotions. Every day take time to to write what you have been grateful for,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], don’t forget to mention even the simple and small things. Gratitude links the emotional body to the heart and soul,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and raises the vibration of your emotional body.

Think about what you learned from them. Burn the list and say our loud: “I fully forgive myself for these mistakes”.
For the women lacking self-confidence: stay in front of the mirror and every morning smile into the mirror and say out loud: “I am beautiful”. Here are a few tips how to do this:
Write a list of all people you think you haven’t fully forgiven yet. Old friends, family members, colleagues, ex partners etc. For each of those make a list of 5 positive attributes that each of them has. Remember the good things about these people and the good times you had. Be grateful. Then write down the bad or problematic things that happened and choose to forgive. Burn this list and say out loud: “I choose to forgive you now”. Feel how much lighter you start feeling now.

Like the elephants, how many of us go through life hanging onto a belief that we cannot do something, simply because we trained ourselves to believe our own limiting thoughts?
How many of us hold on to these invisible but self-limiting bonds and chords? As a Reiki therapist a large part of my daily work consists in showing people their limiting believe systems: Women who don’t love themselves enough, because they taught themselves to believe that they are not beautiful. Men who have low self-esteem because they taught themselves that they can only be happy and proud of themselves once they reached that promotion and make x amount of money. Patients who had bad experiences with their ex partners and are holding on to those people by wasting their precious energy thinking in a bad or unforgiving way about them. Patients who can’t forgive themselves for whatever big mistakes they committed in their past. Patients who are so angry at themselves and the world for whatever reasons.

On Wednesday night last week, something very special happened…almost. The first batter, Mark Grudzielanek, hit the first pitch deep to left center field. I mean this ball was tagged! It carried and carried and for sure was going to break up the perfect game. Left fielder Don Kelly and center fielder Austin Jackson gave chase, full throttle, backs to home plate. Either Galarraga will be the subject of future trivia (who is the only pitcher to throw a perfect game and face 28 batters?) or the wrong call will stand and Galarraga will simply become one of many to have thrown a one-hit shutout.

In 1986, when the Red Sox lost the World Series to the Mets, the ball that rolled under Bill Buckner’s glove is forever remembered as the single play that lost the series for the Sox. However, many other plays had to occur, before and after that event, for that to become a pivotal play—so too in Wednesday night’s game. I did not watch the entire game, but I am sure there were some balls that were called strikes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and other judgment calls that lead up to this final judgment call. Why did the first baseman Miguel Cabrera field the ball in the first place? His nerves must have got to him. He should have let the second baseman field it and he should have covered first. It would have been a much smoother play and not as close. After the safe-call, Cabrera continued his rant to the umpire. Do you think he was more angry that the ump missed the call or that he should have been covering first base? But his automatic brain would never allow for that, right?
The umpire, Jim Joyce,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I am sure, realized immediately after making the wrong call that he had made a mistake. I know,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], because I was there, once. I knew I blew the call, but I did not reverse it. I stood by my call and that was that. Ego you say? That’s right, because ego is the face of the automatic brain. To back down is to show weakness,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], hence vulnerability, and therefore danger. Fighting or fleeing that danger is what we do when we stand behind something even though we know it is wrong. What Joyce should have done was take a deep breath and immediately called time out. He should have gathered the umpires together and asked their opinion as to what to do,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], as I believe he knew he missed the call (as he later admitted). I am sure the head umpire would have overturned the ruling and the perfect game would have ended,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], perfectly.
When I was in college, to make a little extra money, I umpired little league games—believe me a tough way to make a buck! My younger brother’s team was in the championship game, and although I have blocked out most of the details, I blew a call that cost his team the game. There was much silence in the house for awhile,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but we all got over it. That was the last game I ever umpired, by choice.
But, in the heat of the battle we rarely can reach beyond the instantaneous nature of our automatic brain. That’s why it is important to take a step back and breathe. Now that everyone involved has had a chance to do that, I think Major League Baseball should get together and figure out what is the right thing to do—don’t stand on (automatic brain) ceremony and give the guy the perfect game. But they apparently have chosen not to do that, even though Joyce has admitted his mistake.
Let us learn and remember, though, that many events lead up to those pivotal moments and each of those events are equally as important as the one to which we assign great significance. Some of those events are within our control and some are not. Be careful not to establish grandiose expectations of perfection, so if one call does not go in your favor it negates everything else that came before. Galarraga’s life journey, for now, does not include a perfect game. Does that mean he’s going to pack it in? When he let himself take a step back, and breathe, Jim Joyce was able to realize that admitting his mistake actually made him less vulnerable and more respected then sticking by his guns as his automatic brain would dictate.
Throughout our lives,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], we face disappointment and apparent unfairness. And although,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], what seems to be not so perfect right now, may actually turn out to be what is just right. We should try to view all events, good or bad, as simply part of our life’s journey—our story, our legacy, our perfect game.

Running is one of the most efficient aerobic exercises that you can ever do. One final stretch that you need to perform before your run is the hamstring stretch. Sit on the floor with your legs extended straight in front of you. Gradually lean over so you can touch your shins. Try to lean farther to touch your toes but do so only without straining your back and neck.
